New Year Changes!

Happy New Year!

We've had a bit of end-of-year down-time to think, rest, and decided some changes are afoot here at 

The Imaginative Arts of Carol Ochs!  

#1 - We'll be paring down a bit how many of our handmade soaps we offer, but.....

offering a few more handcrafted soaps in our *Wylde* lines...to correspond with seasonal celebrations!

#2 - We plan to start offering on a trial basis (to see how they fly) some products we've long been getting requests for, will finally have available for you!  Yep! We do listen to your requests!  Sometimes it just takes some reorganizing to have the manpower to produce!  

#3 - We are now offering our art *originals* for sale--they are being added to their own page, as we speak!

ALL of them....but here's just a wee sampling......

  

#4 - Be sure to check our Etsy Shop for finished handspun fiber items! We've got some cuddly warm handspun, handknit shawls and cute handbags for ya, perfect for this chilly season!

NOT a time of dying.....

Funny, ...I hear lyrics like these and other dying season songs and they make no sense to me.   I think of SUMMER as the season of dying; everything hot, dry, burnt-up here in Southern California.  Summer marks our season of wildfires, fear of destruction as experienced in 2003 & 2007, every cracking twig synonymous with the striking of a match.  Each hot new day, one to be gotten through, zapping all physical and mental energy with the pouring out of sweat, till finally, finally....the blessed nip of autumn breezes come and breathe life anew, like a soothing energy bath washing over you.

For me.....cool = new life.  Every tree and falling leaf whispers to me, spirits jump out of all corners, creativity is at it's most vibrant!  Life feels more fully lived each day, mental clarity somehow more crackly!

Autumn is when life begins........

Autumn Crunch Time

Hi Folks.....

I'm dreadfully behind on blogging.  Carol WHO?  ;) 

For those paying attention, we're in full-swing autumn crunch time!  Which creates production delays in and of itself.  But I also have an extended family member suffering a health crisis presently which requires time, attention and family support.  I'm still working, working, working..... but orders are getting out slower, so please know this when you place orders, or email if you need to know lead time on your order.
