To this day (and I'm a very up grown-up), when I want to de-stress, or be inspired for art, I pull out the ol' kid's books, ...mine and my own childrens'. They bring back SO MANY happy memories as a child, and reliving childhood through my own kids! I get lost in the beautiful illustrations! It's what made me want to first try art and writing as a kid! It's what made my imagination learn to run wild....a wild that has yet to be leashed.
I curl up with a big pile of books and pillow, throw open the window and let the breeze blow over me, carrying me along with the images and story before me.
Our beginnings stay with us a lifetime.......
