Can You Imagine?

Can you imagine a world without witches,
A world with all people the same?
Where the only known dragons are hiding in books,
And children are terribly tame?
A world without magic would be sad indeed.
I cannot imagine the pain
Of having a world where there's no Santa Claus,
Where wizards are searched for in vain.
Can you imagine a world without spells,
That science and businesses run?
And think of the sadness a unicorn feels
When he no longer plays in the sun.
Can you imagine a world without witches,
No elves and no magical pools?
And can you imagine how dull it would be
If all that we had were the schools?
I cannot imagine a world without witches,
A world with no magical wand.
A world without beauty, or even a dream,
Or a wood sprite of whom to be fond.
They say I should grow up and be more mature,
Like a normal adult ought to do.
But I'd rather, at night, go to dance with a witch,
And I'll bet that you feel that way, too.

Enchantasies - Bewitching Witch Art

NOT a time of dying.....

Lyrics....

"...this is the season of dying 
when the leaves turn crimson 
it marks the cycles ending 
and time for the living to die..." - Everdark

Funny, ...I hear lyrics like these and other dying season songs and they make no sense to me.   I think of SUMMER as the season of dying; everything hot, dry, burnt-up here in Southern California.  Summer marks our season of wildfires, fear of destruction as experienced in 2003 & 2007, every cracking twig synonymous with the striking of a match.  Each hot new day, one to be gotten through, zapping all physical and mental energy with the pouring out of sweat, till finally, finally....the blessed nip of autumn breezes come and breathe life anew, like a soothing energy bath washing over you.

For me.....cool = new life.  Every tree and falling leaf whispers to me, spirits jump out of all corners, creativity is at it's most vibrant!  Life feels more fully lived each day, mental clarity somehow more crackly!

Autumn is when life begins........

Limited Editions Soap Chest...and a New Witch!

NEW! TREASURE CHEST LIMITED EDITION SOAPS!
Here at Simply Soap, we have a favorite phrase...."So many scents, so little time" because there literally are SO MANY scents, and yet logistically we can't possibly carry all that we'd like to, or are tempted to! As you can see from our website, we already have one of the largest handmade-by-one-soapmaker soap collections available on the 'net. Still, we often acquire other quality scents, either via custom soap batches made for customers and there's leftover oil they willingly leave with us, or suppliers send us samples that pile up. We hate to see all these great scents go to waste! And admittedly, as a soapmaker, I like nothing better than to put on my soap wizard hat, don an apron, and experiment with new blends. So we decided to create limited editions of some of these scents in soap that we offer to you to enjoy! A great chance to try our soap in off-beat or different scents than you're used to seeing at our site! C'mon...experiment a little! BUT....when they're gone, they're gone. If we notice extreme interest in any particular scent(s), we "may" add that soap(s) to our regular offerings permanently!


We also have a lovely new open edition witch print available for you - "In My Magic Garden"...she's surrounded by fly agaric 'shrooms, belladonna and a dandy dandelion or two! All ready for the Beltane season and coming of summer....
